Subject: NSFRecoverDatabase hangs when trying to restore a .nsf file
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always

Hello All,

I hope anyone here can help me. I have Lotus Domino Sever 8.5.2 FP2 (Windows Server 2003) and I am trying to do incremental backups. Everything is setup to do so (archived transactional logging, compact tasks to not change DBIID and so on).

Well, we use HP Data Protector to configure the backups. Backup are OK, and restorations worked OK for a few days but suddenly they stopped working. The restore sessions just hang and we have to kill the processes manually, only the copy from the full backup is restored (no logs ara applied).

The Labs at HP have been checking the session logs and they said the process hangs when calling the NFSRecoverDatabases() function, after that nothing else happens and it just hangs. They state that is an API problem and should look for some IBM support.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening??

Thanks so much in advance.
